well, i have just started to read a book on orchestration and arran ent. i hope it answers my questions about how an orchestra should exactly be structured. one interesting thing i found in the book is the sentence, "the only rule about is there is no rule", really that is well said. another thing i should consider for my future plans would be finding a text on writing countermelodies which i think would be called "counterpoint". not sure yet what i am really dealing with, it takes some time to find out what really matters in practice and what is purely theoretical. anyway, i hope i can reach my goal to arrange and orchestrate my personal compositions. even though composition itself requires another book!
